Elaine Liu

Elaine is a visual designer and fine artist who earned a B.F.A. in Art & Design, with a minor in UX Design, from the University of Michigan. With a strong foundation in visual identity, typography, interaction design, and fine art, she brings both technical skill and creative depth to the classroom.

Elaine has taught and mentored young artists in elementary and pre-college programs, developing engaging lessons that balance strong artistic fundamentals with creative exploration.

Having taken weekly art classes from age five through seventeen, Elaine understands firsthand the lasting impact of dedicated art teachers and is passionate about giving back to young artists in her community. Drawing from her formal training, she strives to help students build strong foundations while nurturing their unique creative voices.

Elaine believes art should be both structured and joyful, a space where students build confidence, think independently, and sustain their imagination. Outside of teaching and creating, she enjoys baking sweet treats and playing and watching sports.
